Microsoft and its Windows Phone 7 have a big year ahead of themselves. Google and Apple currently have the mobile space all-but sewn up, and even old stalwarts like BlackBerry are struggling to compete with the new hotness that is iOS and Android.

Music is big business.

Google Maps and iOS devices have gone hand in hand ever since the original iPhone’s release back in 2007, and Apple recently signed a new deal extension with the search giant, giving iOS further access to Google’s Maps data. That isn’t to say that Google’s Maps are the only ones out there, and a new set of maps for the iPad show that Google isn’t the only one capable of putting together beautiful interactive maps for both Apple’s tablets and those of the Android variety.

It’s an old argument that has been doing the rounds online for as long as I can remember, and the chances are it will be doing the rounds long after we have all given up hope of declaring a real winner.
