Apple's stock has hit yet another psychological milestone today, pressing through to reach $500 billion in market capitalization. Apple passed the milestone in after-hours trading yesterday, but has just now passed it in regular trading as the trading day opens.

We all use a variety of technology during our daily lives, and no more so than in the living room. If you look under your TV then you’ll no doubt see plenty of set-top boxes, DVRs and games consoles along with various audio equipment and the like. I thought it might be an interesting exercise to share my choice of living room tech, complete with a little information on why I chose it.

The "another day, another tweak" cliché has never been more relevant than in the current state of play. Last weekend saw the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S join every other iDevice in the iOS 5 untethered jailbreak wonderland, and developers have been pushing those tweaks through the Cydia store at an incredible rate ever since. Once you’ve broken from the shackles beset by Apple’s stock offering, there’s rarely scope to look back, as some of the tweaks become as second nature as sending an SMS or making a phone call.
